Jose Guadalupe Posada
Jose Guadalupe Posada- Famous Mexican lithographer and engraver best known for his satirical skeletons (calaveras) of political figures which were printed on hojas volantes (broadsheets). Born in Aguascalientes and began working in the workshop of Trinidad Pedroza. Later Posada moved to Mexico City and produced 1,000's of editorial drawings at the Antonio-Varega Arroyo printshop. Posada's political caricatures satirized the government of President Porfirio Diaz.
